Flume’s back with another musical masterpiece.
Things I love about Rushing Back:
- The weird noises. It sounds a bit like the wind blowing through hollow objects. Some of the higher notes are particularly jarring (in a good way).
- Hauntingly beautiful female vocals from Vera Blue.
- The sense of experimentation / fun / silliness, married to Flume’s trademark beauty and emotion.
- The way this song seems to speak to me on multiple levels simultaneously… mind, body, soul, higher self. Flume’s music does this to me reliably… it’s very other-worldly.
Pedantic note: Has anyone mentioned that they spelled “breath” incorrectly in those words on the sand? It shouldn’t have the extra “e” on the end.
